Daily Routines
Routines for young children:
They offer a sense of security and predictability. Children know what to expect, which helps them feel safe and comfortable in their environment. Routines help children understand the passing of time and anticipate what will happen next. They help children develop important life skills such as self-discipline, rule-following, and planning. They encourage children's autonomy, thus enhancing their self-confidence and independence. Transition times can be challenging for children. A predictable routine can help reduce anxiety and stress. Routines are essential, however, it is necessary to allow for some flexibility so that the child can explore, be creative, and learn to manage uncertainty and change.
I propose here two supports of your choice:
Light Support When I wake up in the morning, I turn on all the lights. My son turns them off as he completes a step.
These are self-adhesive battery-operated lamps available in my Amazon material section.
Flip Cover Support Once the step is completed, simply close the cover. The transparency of the window allows you to see what has been done, and assists with temporal orientation.
The covers close with a magnetic strip (reference in the Amazon material section).
I remind you of the importance of having routines that read from left to right, firstly because this is the direction of reading, thus indirectly preparing for reading and writing. But also because all timelines are represented in this way. This support is a timeline.
—> I have put a maximum of stickers in order to try to cover everyone's needs, I have also added images for the evening routines. You also have the option to put your own photos.
